End: Moab, Utah

Relive Jurassic Park on this route that loops through Utah and Colorado while touching some of the west’s top dinosaur sites and gives you access to some droolicious scenery. Start your trip on the Colorado side, in Grand Junction, and drive northwest to the aptly named town of Dinosaur. Spend a few hours at Dinosaur National Monument, where you can see live digs and a paleontology lab.
Head west into Utah and stop at the Utah Field House of Natural History State Park Museum. For those with kids, the museum’s garden of life-size dinosaurs is a big hit with the kids. From here, the route turns south and you can stop at more dig sites including the Cleveland-Lloyd Dinosaur Quarry south of Price, Utah. End your trip in Moab where the museum of Moab has more life-like dino displays.
